If you’re looking for a way to reduce your fashion foot print on our planet whilst keeping your wardrobe bang on trend, then this class is for you!
in the Snug is taking residency on the mezzanine* at La Terraza, Upton. Come and spend a morning (or two) with us; Feel inspired by the stunning décor and ambience; Enjoy a coffee from local roasters Yellow Bourbon and some in-house churros deliciousos; Bring along a pre loved light weight woven from your closet, linen drawer, attic, (someone else’s attic!), a charity shop and we’ll help you to turn your fabric find(s) into a chic update to your wardrobe.

Making more sustainable choices when buying ready to wear or making your own garments
Seeing existing fabrics with fresh eyes
Selecting the right fabric and size pieces for the project (electronic pre course tutorial with online support available)
How to print and assemble a pdf pattern for a garment (electronic pre course tutorial with online support available)
Taking accurate body measurements and using this information to size a pattern
Pattern symbols and cutting pattern & the fabric with efficiently, minimising waste

A pdf pattern emailed to you for you to keep and use as many times as you wish
Pre course support to select your fabric and print and assemble your pattern (no need to be daunted, its just a jigsaw with A4 pieces!)
On the day tuition on taking measurements, reading your pattern and cutting (plus guidance in sewing your garment if you opt to stay for the full day)
Written instructions to support sewing your garment following the workshop or for future versions you make
What will I need?
A4 paper & black ink
Xm of fabric or 2 Xm of contrasting of pieces (please see specific garment course for details)
Sewing Machine (limited number available for hire at additional cost)

What’s the price?
Each morning class runs for 3 hours from 9.30-12.30 and includes a coffee and a sweet treat:
£55 morning one only
£45 morning two (morning one must be booked or completed to reserve your place)
Advance booking is essential. Please note that places on these courses are limited, with a maximum number of 6 sewists.
